For some reason, insurance products seem to be a touchy issue for many Canadians. There are those that have insurance needs and some that do not. The focus that we have regarding a personal insurance assessment is to advise you of all of the financial risks that you are exposed to. After an assessment, there are three possible scenarios that will present themselves.
You have adequate coverage.
You have a shortfall.
You have too much coverage.
Our only goal is make you aware of your current situation. With this information in hand, you will now be able to make an informed decision moving forward. In many cases, for those clients who are in or approaching retirement, we often find that they have too much coverage.
One thing is clear; you will have exceptionally different insurance needs throughout your life. The important thing is to make sure you continue to monitor them. This will ensure that not only will your family be taken care of, but also that you are not allocating unnecessary resources on a product or service that you do not need.
